Just as I thought it was safe to forget my old posts, my dear friend Noch nominated me for the 7 link challenge. In this challenge, I need to pick out seven of the most memorable posts from the past based on the categories below.
In my humble opinion, each and every post I write qualifies to be in each of the categories. OK, maybe not! So I scratched my head and went back in time to pull out the following list. It was tougher than I expected. It’s hard to judge which of my babies stand out from the rest… But here goes:
1. Beautiful – Why Forgiveness Is Important to Your Health
This topic in general holds a lot of meaning for me personally. If I was to write only one post, it would be this one. People tend to hold on to their pain from the past. Want to know how to live a simpler life? Learn to fully forgive. And yes, that includes forgiving yourself too.
2. Popular – How to Get Super Powers
This was an easy choice, because all I had to do, was to simply look at the visitor statistics. I guess, everyone wants to have super powers! What’s interesting is that inherently, we already posses these powers. It’s recognising and applying them that’s the trick.
3. Controversial – How to Have Faith In God
One of my very first posts. There are spirituality and personal development blogs that will not touch the subject, let alone the word – God. Well, back then I didn’t know that so many people are expected to feel “uncomfortable” with it. The way I see it, there are no uncomfortable subjects, just uncomfortable people. We can tone down the words, but how can we avoid the subject?
4. Helpful – My Epiphany
I hope that all of my posts are helpful to someone in some way. But I picked this one because it is most helpful to… me! Some posts as this one, are made of self-reflection. In fact, I try to retrospect about my life in just about every post I write. This one I happen to visit myself time to time, as a reminder.
5. Success surprised me – How to Deal With Difficult People
Time to time, I write about dealing with various personalities. I really didn’t expect this one to become as popular as it did. I’m glad so many people found and shared it. I suppose that we all get to deal with people who are difficult in some way.
6. Didn’t get the attention it deserved – How to Make The Right Decision By Following Your Heart
This is another one of my earlier posts. There is much that’s written about how to make the right decisions in life. I wanted to present a more esoteric angle. This post was a product of an abstract thought, as I very much enjoy thinking in abstracts. Perhaps the readers were looking for more practical instructions.
7. I’m most proud of – What Is The Meaning of Love
This is one of my more recent posts. It goes hand in hand with forgiveness. I am proud of it, because it is one of the posts that really defines my site. I am a big fan of The Bhagavad Gita, and often I incorporate its philosophies into my life and these articles. What else can I say about it… It’s love!
I’m sure that right after I publish this post, I’ll look back and find better choices to list. But now that I’ve re-visited some of these articles, I have a sense of satisfaction. The satisfaction that I was able to share my thoughts and my ideas with you.
That perhaps some of you may have found something that caught your eye, or helped you along the way on this journey. It’s good to slow down and look back now and then. Thank you Noch for reminding me why I write.
Live well. Vlad
