I am writing on the subject of depression today, because to those who have it, depression presents a major obstacle in achieving a balanced life. My goal here is to establish that along the way to designing a more peaceful and balanced life, we must all deal with the issues and hindrances that keep us contained and preventing us from moving forward.
Each one of us has unique set of circumstances and challenges. It is unfortunate that in this day and age, many of us are suffering with such mood related issues as depression and anxieties. There is however hope, and you can accomplish much with proper information and determination, so please read on.
My exposure to depression began at a young age when one of my family members was diagnosed with it. Over time, my interest in the depression fighting methods has evolved as I searched for, and applied various alternative treatments to the prescription medication. I am pleased to say that based on my experience and observation, I have witnessed the success of natural therapies for the treatment of depression.
National Institute for Mental Health, estimates that approximately 58 million people in the United States currently live with depression. This is a huge number. In fact, it is advised that on the average we need a minimum of 8 hours of sleep per night.
